Angeliki graduated with a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2023. As part of her thesis she investigated the feasibility of dehydrating Y. lipolytica cells to produce dried powders suitable for use as food additives either for the bioactive compounds they contain or for their probiotic properties. In addition, during her internship, in a Water Supply & Sewerage Company in the area of Kos, she participated in the quality control of both wastewater treatment plant effluents and water from boreholes. She joined Natural Resources and Renewable Energies Laboratory (NRRE) at the beginning of 2024 and she deals with projects regarding industrial wastewater treatment using membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology.
Outside of the lab, Angeliki plays volleyball and enjoys hiking and cinema.
