Best Poster Award at BIORESTEC 2023

NRRE lab members, supervised by Dr. Sotiris Patsios, presented their work during the “4th International Conference on Bioresource Technology for Bioenergy Bioproducts and Environmental Sustainability”, which was held in Lake Garda, Italy on 14-17 of May, 2023.

PhD students Alexandra Nastouli and Asimina Tsirigka presented their posters entitled:
“Development of a biological purification process of lactic acid solutions employing a genetically modified E.coli strain” and “Fine-tuning of Yarrowia lipolytica fermentation for efficient crude glycerol bioconversion towards valuable products“, respectively.
During the conference, fruitful discussions generated the match-making of interesting scientific ideas and a high potential of valuable collaborations.
The poster “Fine-tuning of Yarrowia lipolytica fermentation for efficient crude glycerol bioconversion towards valuable products” received a Poster Award.
